Kuroshitsuji FF: Meet the Household

I woke up the next morning to the maid opening the curtains. I turned over in the bed to look at her.

           "Wha.?" I mumbled half-asleep.

"Good morning Miss, sorry to wake you, but you must prepare for the day! You get to meet everyone!" It was the maid I saw yesterday. She was wearing a cute little maid outfit with a hat to match. Her voice was kind of gravely, but cheery at the same time; I liked it.

She stood next to my bed. "My name is Mey-Rin, I am the maid of the Phantomhive Manor." She smiled politely.

I sat up, my hair extremely messed up from the grime piling up for two years. "Hello." I smiled, finally getting a word out.

"First thing is first, the Miss needs a bath!" She chuckled as she said this. I hope she was not going to help me, that makes me uncomfy.. "I will fill the bath tub for you, and let you do the rest yourself if that makes you comfortable."

I smiled at that. "Thank you!"

She nodded. "You're very welcome Miss."

After that she filled the bath tub and left. I managed to bathe myself well, I still remembered how to do that at least. After I dried off, I noticed that Mey-Rin left me a dress on the counter to wear. It was a lot like the I had, only it was pure white and the seams were a beautiful silver, plus it had a little pink rose along the trim of the top. I got dressed and went back into my room. Mey-Rin came back in with a hair brush and some pony-tail holders.

"May I do the Miss' hair??" She smiled wide and seemed eager to. I smiled cutely and nodded, I have never had anyone do my hair before.

She had me sit down in the chair in front of the desk with the mirror, and she asked me, "How do you prefer your hair to look?"

I have never really thought about it before, but now that I am, "I- I think it would be cute, super straight, with," I said a bit more softly, "a long thin braid, right here." I caressed a strand of hair that flowed down from behind my ear. I remember seeing the Undertaker have one like it, and I was intrigued; it was so pretty.

Mey-Rin smiled as she brushed my hair. "Right away Miss."

***

Mey-Rin finished my hair and it was amazing; she trimmed it up so it was nice and neat, yet still long, to my stomach to be exact, and she made it perfectly straight with that little braid. After she finished, we started to head downstairs to the kitchen.

When we got to the top of the main staircase, Mey-Rin accidentally tripped and went tumbling down the stair case. So of course, I went with her!

"Ahhh!!" We both called as we tumbled all the way to the bottom. She reached the floor first, and then I tumbled on top of her.

"Sorry heehee!" I quickly got off of her. I felt a little better; I could feel my strength coming back. I helped her up and we brushed ourselves off.

"Oh, it is no problem Miss!" She laughed. Then Sebastian walked by and checked his pocket watch. He sighed.

"Just what we need, another klutz."

Mey-Rin turned red and became really nervous for some reason. She bowed and spoke, "S- so sorry Sebastian!!"

I pouted, feeling kind of bad. Sebastian walked off and Mey-Rin stood back up. I said kind of quietly and innocently, "That was not very nice of him to say.."

"Aw Miss, that is just how Sebastian is. He has very high expectations, we must do more than our best to keep this place running!"

I still frowned as we headed to the kitchen. "If you say so.."

As we walked in, I saw a tough looking man with blonde hair and, dynamite sticks?

"Ah! Bardroy, no dynamite!! Not with our guest!!" Mey-Rin freaked out.

"Oh, heheh sorry!" He had some type of accent, but I could not tell exactly what. "Hey, you are Evelyn, right? You must be hungry!" He smiled at me politely. I liked this guy already!

I admit that I was hungry, starving in fact, but I am way too shy to speak up about it. "I- uhh."

Mey-Rin finally spoke up for me, "Well of course she is!! The poor girl is too shy to admit it though!!" She smiled the whole time. It was pleasant.

"Don't worry about it, I will cook you up something nice! Without explosives." He chuckled and smiled at me. I giggled back, finally feeling at home.

***

Bardroy made me a great meal! I have not anything so good in, well, ever! Hehee!

Later that day, I headed outside into the garden to relax and think, maybe practice my walking. A lot of my energy has been regained after a good night's sleep plus a great meal.

I walked around for about an hour, when I heard, barking? But it sounded as if a human was barking. I turned to where the noise was coming from, to discover a man with fluffy white hair and a black suit running to me on all fours. As he came closer I noticed he had a spiked collar.

I backed up a bit, because it looked as if this guy was going to just jump on top of me! He came closer, but before he could tackle me, a cute little boy with blonde hair and a flannel shirt grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back.

"Sorry about that, it seems Pluto here likes you!" The boy smiled at me as I admired the red barrettes in his hair. "You see, Pluto may look like a human, but he is really a demon-dog haha!"

Never heard that before hehee. "Hehee he seems like a cute dog to me." I smiled as Pluto panted and looked at me, smiling. "Oh! I am, Evelyn." I smiled and looked at the boy with the barrettes.

"My name is Finny! It is very nice to meet you Miss! You must be special, because Pluto usually isn't so fond of new people, but he sure does take a liking to you!" He smiled as he messed up the puppy's hair playfully.

I would not call myself special, I just think he likes female people more than males at first, because that is how most male dogs are. "Hehee well I like him, too, he seems very friendly." I smiled sincerely at them both, as they have for me.

"Oh have you met Tanaka yet?"

Before I could ask who that was, an older gentleman walked up to us. "Miss Evelyn, are you getting to know the people here more?" He also had a nice smile across his face.

"Oh, oh yes everyone seems so nice here. I am really enjoying myself." I smiled cutely, figuring I felt cute in this dress and my new hair style.

"Well that is very good to hear." He smiled, and then, he suddenly turned into a little chibi.

"Oh?" I looked at him closely and smiled. "Aww he so cute!" Sometimes I talk like a baby.

"Hoh, hoh, hoh." He smiled while drinking a cup of warm tea.

Finny looked kind of surprised. "That did not freak you out? Wow you really are different haha!" He laughed.

***

It was closer to late afternoon when I was walking through the estate. I was walking along a hallway, completely lost. I was looking around a lot, trying to figure out where to go. ~Ohh, this is not good!~ I thought to myself. Suddenly, I ran into someone.

          "Oh- hey!"

I looked back up to see the Young Master turn around to look at me.

"Oh!" I blushed out of embarrassment. "I- I am sorry I was not paying attention to where I was going.." I looked down lat my feet, feeling stupid.

"It is fine, just be more careful." He did not sound as strict as I thought he would be. "My name is Ciel, by the way."

I looked back up. "O- okay. So, would you like me to call you Ciel? Or Sir? Or??" I wanted to do things right around here.

"Sir and Ciel are both fine, whichever you feel is appropriate. However, I must be going. It was good talking to you." He walked off before I could say anything else.

I heard a voice from behind me, "How peculiar."

I jumped a bit, startled at the sudden voice. I turned around to see Sebastian smirking at me. "Wh- what is?"

"The Young Master said you could call him Ciel, that is very peculiar indeed." He smirk seemed to widen.

"Sh- should I just call him Sir?" I think I was blushing from more embarrassment at this point.

He just closed his eyes and parted his lips. "Whichever you feel is appropriate." And again, he just turned back around and left.

***

I waited at the top of the main staircase all day, hoping the Undertaker would come by soon. Who knows how late it was last night when he found me, so he could be here in three minutes or another three hours..

I sighed sadly to myself, when I heard a knock on the front door. I lifted my head up and stared at the door as Sebastian answered it.

"Hello Undertaker, Miss Evelyn has been waiting for you." I could kind of hear him whisper to Undertaker, "She has been waiting at the top of the staircase for a couple of hours now." Sebastian had that same smirk dancing proudly across his face. I blushed embarrassed. Again.

He let the Undertaker in, and as soon as I saw him, I tiptoed gracefully yet quickly down the stairs and I ran up to him and hugged him, smiling.

"Heehee did you miss me that much?" I could feel his arms wrap around me and hug me tight. It was the first hug I have had in two years.

"Heehee." I smiled as we let go of each other, and then I looked up at him.

"My my deary, it seems as if you have gotten all cleaned up and looking nice!" His smile was a nice one, it beats all of the ones I have seen all day; even Finny's.

"Mhm! Mey-Rin helped me fix my hair and she picked out this dress, and look! I have a braid in my hair just like you!" I was smiling a lot, this is the most I had talked to anyone all day. At all for that matter.

"It looks very nice, very beautiful." He kept smiling as he caressed the braid in my hair as I did earlier.

***

We eventually moved up to the hallway to my tower, and we just sat in the hallway talking. Since I was now more attentive than I was, I noticed a couple of scars on the Undertaker's face and neck.

"What happened here?" I traced my finger along the scar across his face, and then the one on his neck. I could feel him shiver a bit when I did. Was he cold? He only shivered that once..

"Oh, j- just a scar from working a long time ago."

"Oh, did something cut you? It looks like it hurt.." I started to feel a little sad that he had to endure whatever happened.

"Oh no, it- it was okay, nothing big." He looked a little pink on his cheeks.

"Are you sure?" I started to reach my hand back up to his face, but he suddenly yet gently caught my hand before I could. He smiled gently.

"Yes, I'm sure." He moved my hand back down to where it originally was.

I felt a little warm, but I am unsure why. "Oh- okay." Then I smiled. "That is good that you are okay."

"Heehee just don't worry about it." He pushed the hair out of my face.

"Okay." I smiled. Then I yawned cutely, not an ugly wide yawn, just a small cute one.

          "Heehee someone is tired."

"Oh, no! I cannot go to bed just yet, I have only gotten to see you for-"

He interrupted me with a smirk, "Three hours?"

I gasped. "H- has it really been that long?!" I almost could not believe it, it felt like an hour at the most!

"Yes, and it is almost midnight my dear! You should be off to bed very soon."

I looked down, not wanting to part with the Undertaker for another minute, let alone twenty hours.

He leaned closer to me and smirked. "That means now."

I looked up at him, and gave in. "Otayy."

He stood up, and then he helped me up. "Good girl heehee." He smiled at me and then we walked up to my room.

I lay down in my bed and the Undertaker pulled the covers over me and tucked me in, almost like a good daddy.

"Good night my dear." He smiled sweetly.

"Good night Undertaker." I smiled back at him, and then he left, and I fell asleep.
This is the second story in my Kuroshitsuji fan fiction, it has only been a day and I have gotten a good amount of feedback. That makes me happy. =)
